Fantasy Risers: Players on the Up

The first player making waves in the fantasy community is wide receiver Tyler Boyd. With the recent injury to his team’s number one target, Boyd’s role has expanded significantly. He has taken on more targets and seen an increase in snap counts, making his floor much more reliable than in previous weeks. His ceiling remains high, especially in favorable matchups against weaker secondaries. The probability of Boyd maintaining WR2 value in the coming weeks is solid, with a good chance of outperforming expectations if his quarterback continues to look his way.
Another name to watch is running back Alexander Mattison. With the lead back nursing a lingering injury, Mattison has stepped up, showcasing his ability to handle a full workload. His usage in both the running and passing game makes him a versatile asset, providing a high floor and a potential RB1 ceiling if the starter remains sidelined. Managers should feel confident inserting Mattison into their lineups, especially in games where his team is favored to control the tempo.
Fantasy Fallers: Players Losing Steam
On the flip side, running back Devin Singletary has seen a notable dip in production. The emergence of a rookie counterpart in the backfield has cut into his carries, reducing his volume and, consequently, his fantasy output. His role has shifted more towards a secondary option, significantly lowering his weekly floor. As his team leans more on their passing attack, Singletary’s value continues to diminish, making him a risky start unless absolutely necessary.
Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy is another player whose fantasy stock is trending downward. Despite his undeniable talent, the inconsistency at the quarterback position has hindered his ability to break out. His targets have become erratic, and his ceiling is capped in an offense struggling to find rhythm. Fantasy managers should consider benching Jeudy until there’s evidence of improved quarterback play or a more stable target share.
Lineup Calls: Critical Decisions Ahead
One of the most challenging decisions for fantasy managers this week involves quarterback Justin Fields. While his rushing ability provides a nice floor, his passing game remains a work in progress. Against a stingy defense, the likelihood of a breakout performance is limited, yet his dual-threat nature keeps him in the conversation for a starting spot. Managers should weigh their options carefully, considering alternative quarterbacks with more favorable matchups.
Tight end Kyle Pitts presents another conundrum. Despite his immense talent, his usage has been inconsistent, largely due to game script and play calling. The potential for a high ceiling is there, especially in matchups where his team needs to pass frequently. However, his floor remains low if he continues to be underutilized. Fantasy managers need to assess their roster’s needs—prioritizing upside in high-stakes matchups or opting for a safer, more consistent option.
In the ever-changing world of fantasy sports, making informed lineup decisions based on live stream insights can be the difference between victory and defeat. By closely monitoring player roles, usage trends, and potential outcomes, fantasy managers can navigate the complexities of their leagues with confidence and precision.
